I will admit that I love an awesome pedigree and I research and look for certain attributes, but I also realize there are pet breeders out there who probably have healthier lines than some who show. I'll always defend the passionate, dedicated hobby breeder; many people would never get to experience the pure joy of having a yorkie in their life if not for them. I am also an advocate for show breeders who are dedicated and have put in years of hard work. To me, they are both valuable to our breed.
I do show my yorkies but for several years didn't because of having a young child...so I totally understand both sides of the pole. Have you ever heard of someone having a completely healthy line and bringing in a line from a show kennel and then WHAM genetic problems arising? It has happened. It all comes down to as a breeder, do you TRULY know your line, can you vouch for it other than just saying "oh I have met the parents and grandparents". Baby is a cutie and she's champ in her own right! |
Thanks, Robbie!

You always write so well, I love it!! And you are right, Baby is my little champ.
