We very rarely have left Hank in the car when we go in somewhere to shop, eat, etc. If so, we park where we can see the vehicle. Hank is good about just laying in the car quietly but I have never felt comfortable for leaving him for any time other than 15 minutes or so if that.

We have a motorhome and Hank does very well in that. We lived in it for a year while building our home and he did excellent at the campground. He was fine in there alone, no barking, etc. We just made sure everything was locked and secure. I felt that he was safe there. Of course, he was walked on a leash at all times and, out of consideration and park rules, we picked up after him (unlike some others I saw).

We now have added Levi to our family and he hasn't traveled much yet. On route to the groomer, he barked the entire trip!! He isn't used to traveling yet.

My husband is in TN now visiting his daughter and grandson and I decided to stay at home because we didn't want to leave both guys in a hotel room for too long of a period since Levi isn't used to it and may bark and bark. We had no other place to stay this trip. Anyway, we figure we'll get the motorhome out of storage soon and start making our trips and visits that way and both dogs will feel at home with their own belongings, etc.
