From what I have read, seen and been told (no offense to anyone that has an APRI registered dog) is that the dogs there couldn't be registered at AKC. They might not have come from fully pure parents or possibly be from someone that got a dog with no registration or limited registration and wants to breed and be able to make some money on the pups so they register APRI and use that as their marketing tool. I was told by some breeders that I met online and others that I knew that the standard for registering on APRI is very laxed and they personally wouldn't buy a dog registered as such for themselves or to incorporate into their breeding lines.
