Pitbulls are given a bad rap and fault should lie primarily with the owners. Pits are strong, powerful and active dogs, meaning you have to exercise them you can't keep a pit chained in your backyard and wonder why it escapes. Simply walking a pit when it goes to does it business will not satisfy the need it has to be active.
If anyone wants to get a pit they have to understand the responsibilities and risks involved. If you are willing to do so then go right ahead and enjoy your new pet pit. They are wonderful animals and are just sweethearts.
