Lucy sleeps right behind my knees under the cover every night. The only time I didn't let her was right after she was spayed. She slept in her carrier for a couple of nights then and wasn't happy until she was back in bed with me. Rebel sleeps in a child's playpen at night because he's so little I'm afraid he'll get lost!
