I have the one where the top tilts up. I use it for baking and I do like it. The problem that I have is that when I add flour or powdered sugar, the opening to the bowl is not big enough and then when you turn it back on it throws flour EVERYWHERE. So, if I were to do it again I would get the more expensive model that LIFTS the bowl up and down. I think that would be easier to add ingredients to. Still, I'm thrilled just to have one. It's great for making pound cake and cookies and whipped cream, I just have to clean up all the flour when I'm done!!
