A 14 hour trip????? Is the breeder crazy? Maybe she gets a kickback, or a discount on her dogs if she gets more to go see her vet, lol. Multi dog discount.
I'd take her to the vet that you are going to now. Just make sure they use Isoflorane. I think thats the name of the anesthesia, most vets use for yorkies. And NO barbituates! (most don't use them anymore anyway). She'll do fine.
I just had Venus spayed Dec 11th. I'm thinking she weighed 3 lbs. But as small as she is, I really didn't think she weighed that much.
I know we worry way too much when they get spayed to begin with. And with a trip like that, my lord, that would stress you out even more!
I'd stick with the vet that you will be using from now on. The one you trust!
IMHO, if she wanted her vet used for spay/neuter, she should have had that done before she sold you the dog.
Its no longer her dog, or her choice. |
