If I were you I would just let them keep their dewclaws and their tails long. Sedating a puppy at such a young age and size can be hazardous and the risk of losing a puppy is really not worth it. Plus they will really feel the pain as opposed to getting it done at 3 or 4 days old. There are several people here who have yorkies with long tails and the dew claws. Alot of people don't even care about the tails or dewclaws, they just want a yorkie to love.
