Thank you to all who have given me such a warm welcome and such warm wishes. I have been a silent reader of YT for the past week and a half everyday. I am a slight geek in that I immerse myself in research about anything that I have a true interest and I want to be a good dog owner/mommy to my Bodie. This is an excellent site. I am learning so much!
Tonight was cool! Bodie ate dinner when we came back but would not go. I took him outside three times for ten minutes each and nothing happened. I did discover that when there is something else that catches his interest such as a car or people walking, he will ignore me when I calll him. But, he was pretty good when there were no distractions, and this is his first day with me. So...all that said, he did great because he is great. AND HE HANDLED HIS BUSINESS when we went back out later
. He's such a good little boy. He is sleeping as I type this.
It is easy to see how people fall so in love. These dogs are amazing. I am giving lots of love, but really trying to set the boundaries from the beginning. He is just so sweet..I know that at times it will be hard. But I know my fellow YTers will help me get through.
