Sounds like you're doing fine! It takes time to learn the signs when a pup has to 'go' - and when they do have to go, there isn't much warning and not a lot of time to get them where they need to go! Just keep in mind that a new puppy's tiny bladder just can't hold it in. Look for signs of restlessness, pacing, sniffing, whining, etc. A puppy will have to pee after eating, playing (as in your case), and sleeping. They may go as often as once every hour or two.
