Hi! I am the "Mom" to Shelby (girl) & Seymour (boy).
When we 1st seen Shelby, her ears were a bit floppy..... then when we picked her up (after she was 12 weeks old) the breeder had trimmed the hair on the tips of her ears ( a good groomer can do this for you, too) and they stood right up! Hair will weigh the ears down. We do not show either of our dogs and they get a regular "ear trimming". ( I am not sure if it is recommended if you are planning on showing your dog..... that could be answered by some of the "show dog" yt'ers)
