what the woman is referring to is called "bill pay", which is a check issued by the bank per a request submitted electronically via online banking. but it almost never arrives at a private home the day after the request. it's the same as a personal check, so it can bounce like a personal check as well.
i'd tell the woman to send an electronic check as a deposit 1 month before they come by, then bring a money order or cash for the balance. this will give the electronically issued check time to deliver and clear before she picks up a puppy. |
