dna tests can be done on the dogs to see if the parents are the actual parents i believe the akc has begun to require dna tests and id #'s on the male studs from breeders who have a certain # of litters or over per year
why would the vet even say something like that espically if not asked for the opinion!! some may think that if you have a larger yorkie though just because size they may not look purebred
