This is what I have and I had the same symptoms as you. I would mostly vomit during the night...but also during the day. One night we thought it was a heart attack and went by ambulance to the hospital. Since I am on medication, I've had no more attacks.
I hope they can find out exactly what is wrong. Keep us updated, my prayers are with you. |
Know what I hate the most, is vomiting in your sleep, you wake up gagging. Luckily I make it to bathroom every time it happens. I was hoping the GERD would subside a bit after I had my gastric pacemaker put in for the gastroparesis, but it didnt.
To test for gastroparesis you should be given a gastric emptying study, you eat this nasty radioactive egg and they take pictures of your stomach and see how much empties during the 4 hour period. When I had mine done before my surgery nothing moved in the 4 hour period. I hate having this test done but now Im curious how much is emptying since my pacer implant. The pacer is the last resort when every other medical treatment fails
