I'm a new yorkie owner myself- so I'm by no means an expert. Anyway, my husband ordered us a few yorkie books off Amazon.com, which have been a big help and fun to read. He bought (i think) an Idiots Guide to Yorkies, which is written by a long time yorkie owner, breeder, trainer. Also, a basic yorkie book with all sorts of cute pics and good advice.
Also, we went to Petsmart and found a yorkie owner/breeder who works there, and she walked around the store with us and suggested necessary items and gave us some tips. I'd look around at the stores near you for experts in the yorkie field. It was a major help to us.
