 Breeding questions
I am the mom of 2 female & 1 male yorkies. I have waited for 20 months for my girls to come into their 1st heat,[ they are sisters]. My vet said they are old enough to breed even though it is their 1st heat. I noticed Sasha swelled & bleeding on Dec.15. My 3 y.o. male has been very ready to do his job since that time but sasha is not interested. They did tie up with my assistance on days 11 & 13. However I never saw any flagging or interest on sasha's part. My other girl has been flagging & standing for the past 3 days,[days 10,11,& 12], & has tied up all 3 days. Her name is Sushi. My male, Scooby, seems to be more interested in Sasha, who could care less, & will only show interest in sushi if sasha is not around. I'm not sure if I missed Sasha fertile period or if maybe she's a late bloomer & may still come into standing heat. Any suggestions & info would be greatly appreciated. This is my 1st time trying to breed. |
