Mine is 11 months old now. She won't go in her crate by herself. I only crate her when we go to a store that won't let her in or we go somewhere she can't. At night she is always asleep on my lap, so to go to bed, I just carry her into my bedroom and put her in. She does have seperation anxiety and the minute I get up to put her to bed, she starts trembling. This does stop the minute she is in her crate though. Just be firm with them. My vet said you really have to show them who is boss. I don't encourage her when she runs and barks at me to play. Don't want her to think she can bark and get what she wants. Usually just turning my back on her and ignoring her when she is bad words for her. Sometimes, if she is really hyper I have to hold her to my chest and calm her. But all in all, she has settled down real well. Except when I try to clip nails! EEEK! WHat a fight! Pat |
