I was always told you dont' enter the new year with a dirty house or dirty laundry...supposedly it brings the old bad into the new year. So I have been up early cleaning and I am down to my last load and a half....got to get it all done.
I have always followed this tradition since I move out on my own when I was 17. My husband thinks I am nuts but I can see where it makes a fresh start for the new year.
My babies even got their new years bath. Sunday is normally my regular bathing and grooming day for them anyhow but today was a must being as they will start the new year smelling fresh
