I couldn't help but to notice your tools (scissors, floss, etc..) on the floor. Always make sure your tools are sterile and clean. I alwasys boil my sciccors and forceps before using and have them in sterile towel and wrap up in plastic just before whelping. I am sure you have just finished with those and don't need to use them now - reason for on the floor.
Sometimes x-rays can be wrong - it is so hard when mom only has one pup - and could be hiding and not show up in the image.

Sometimes it takes mom a little to get the milk flowing and the clor. going, but the sucking with help it come through. Also the sucking with her the pup if any fluid is still in the throat. So very good!
