Our ER vet is the same way - money up front or you can leave. Very sad!
I think you should have food down for her at ALL times! I tell people that get my pups that food and water should be availabe ALWAYS! I would give nutri-cal daily for a while too. Good luck with her and I am so happy to hear that she is doing better!
