I definately think it is a good idea for you to bring him when you pick up the new pup......let them get to know each other a little before bringing him into the home.....That is what I did when i got Bella.....I took Louie with us to get her and then when we came home I put her in the "playpen" and let him walk around and sniff and stuff for a while....and then I put him in with her and then eventually took her out and they got along fine within one day!
