I read your whole thread and the situation seems to be resolving itself very quickly. I too have a son that has made my dog meaner than she would have been had she just been mine alone. He liked to pull her out of her bed when she's sleeping and thinks it's funny when she gets mad. He was only 13when I got her and I think he would do these things to get me mad.

I have to tell you that he has saved her life several times, like the time he got bit through the hand by a bulldog and when he fished her out of a pond when she was a puppy and thought the algae covered water was a solid surface.

The funny thing is she behaves better for him. If he's holding her and I try to touch her, she'll try to bite me and it's not playing. He'll tell her she's a good girl. I just keep my gloves handy in case I have to pick her up when she's not in the mood. I used to think she did this for his entertainment but she'll do this when he's not around. I can live with it though. She's only three pounds and I do respect her. She isn't too fond of having her hair brushed or being picked up when it's shower time.

I think we're mostly a bunch of nosy ladies here and I appreciate your explanation of your situation. You have been a pretty good son to help your parents out the way you did and I only hope my son would do the same for me some day if necessary.
