Hi everyone. i am sad to hear the stories on the posting and pray for ALL the little dogs to get healthy as soon as possible. i can say that i understand how they feel....

here is my story:

i got my little girl last thursday and she was so alert and playful following me around where ever i go and so friendly towards other people. than yesterday, i brought my lil boo home from my bf's house last night around 9 pm and she seemed fine. i gave her a shower and blow dried her and let her sleep with me in the blanket. she was shivering for a bit i thought maybe she was cold from the shower. i turned the heater on and put her in the blankets and the shivering resided. for some reason she seemed a bit tired and not as active as she usually is. i gave her some nutri cal and i put her down in her den after a few hours of sleep and she seem fine and checked on her at 8 am and she seem fine but not as active as before still. checked on her at around 10 because i heard scratching noises and thought maybe she pooped. when i saw her she was lying there limp! i seriously thought i was going to get a heart attack because i couldn't breath! i tried giving her nutri cal and she tried so hard to lick it and i try to feed her but she was so out of it she fell on her plate. i picked her up and i know she is trying hard to respond but she just couldnt. she can barely keep her lil eyes open. i was so scared and rushed her to the pet hospital. they wanted $500 deposit before starting anything on her! that really pissed me off! i was so in a rush i was in my pjs and i left my wallet at home. i begged them to start treatment immediately but they said they cant until the deposit but luckily my mom was home and called and asked her for the credit card #. that was the dummest policy! a little life can be lost because of money? shouldnt every second count in an emergency? i know if i was a vet id start treatment immediately even if i got to pay out of my pocket to save a life! they put her on iv fluids and said she had hypoglycemia. within 5 hours she was finally more alert and doctor said she ate a bowl of food! poor little girl had to get her iv through the vein on her neck cause they couldnt find one on her tiny legs. doctor told me later they did stool specimen and she might have worms and that might have triggered her hypoglycemia. even though they refused treatment for my lil girl until i put the deposit i was still thankful for what they did for my Boo. i am pretty sure she got the worms when she was at the pet store because i am pretty sure my other dogs dont have them and she had no contact with my other dogs due to her tiny size. doctor said she okay and i might be able take her home in the morning tomorrow. breeder told me feed her twice a day but from now on im leaving her food out 24/7! please, pray for her to have a healthy normal life. she means the world to me.she is everything i wanted in a dog. that incident taught me a life lesson to appreciate life more and how fragile life is. how someone can be okay this minute and be sick the next...

My vet told me honey works faster then nutri-cal. I think a few breeders posted this also.
