This can be totally true. We found an abandoned dog at our house & it became my dog. It was fine with me, my mom, & my brother, but was very wary of my dad, my dad just ignored her & she ignored him & it was all good. However, My godfather came over one day & he is a very large man & she went ape sh*t, we had to shut her up, so even though my godfather would never hurt a fly he obviously closely resembled someone that had caused her great pain.
