Welcome, Chibby's Mom! The first thing you have to do is is post pictures of your little girl! That's the only way we can give you truly helpful tips. LOL.
My main tip for pup owners is to concentrate on socializing them. Once she's comfortable with you and her new home, expose her to lots of people and other dogs. Be careful to make sure these experiences are positive. Don't expose her to crowds of people where she might get scared. Same with other dogs. Don't make the experience intimidating.
Also, take some time to touch her feet and teeth daily. Make it fun. That way, when it comes time to trim her nails or brush her teeth, she won't panic.
Other than that, use the search feature on this forum to search for topics of interest to you. Chances are, it's been discussed before. And if you have a specific question, make a post of your own and ask. There are lots of helpful and knowledgeable people here.
