I'm sorry, I misled you, she didn't vomit, she had the dry heaves. No, I've never given her any Tylenol before but I was going to use children's liquid. They told me she wouldn't be in much more pain than when I picked her up. Maybe she was in a lot of pain but still groggy cause she's sure in pain now. She did get up and go into the next room to get a drink of water. There was no reason for her to go in there, I have water in the xpen where I put her. I think maybe she felt she had to get up and move around a bit.
The vet prescribed Hill's Prescription Diet Antitoxident Formula for her. It breaks down into pieces small enough to be drawn up into a syringe when mixed with water and then squirted into her mouth. She just doesn't seem to be able to even stand the smell of food. She is just bones. I feel I have to force something down her. I gave her 3cc's of medicine in a 2tsp syringe and filled it up the rest of the way with water. Then I gave her a syringe of the food and water, then a syringe of water.
She's tucked under my chair right now. |
