The entire 1,000-1,500 body goes directly through the windshield. When that happens, the least of your worries is whether your car has been dented.
I know, I have heard MANY horror stories, but I was driving a 1973 Thunderbird (the one with the long front) so the deer landed on the hood but not thru the windshield and fell off

... It seems once you mention such an accident .... Everyone has a story .... Yes, I was lucky ... it was a doe I hit ... (no antlers?) and I had to go back with the Highway Patrol to find the deer to make sure I did not hit a person ... This was back in 1982 I think.... So no cell phone...
My parents were staying in Bennington, VT so someone from the hotel came to pick me up (2 hours) and bring the car to a service station and I stayed at the hotel until the car was fixed .... Not something I want to relive ....
but your moose looks so frightening. The video was hysterical, watching him jump the fence ... a curb seems monumental to our babies ... (how tall are those moose?) (meese?)
