Default I am a breeder...

I am a breeder and I charge the same for all sizes. No one can guarantee any size that the dog will grow up to be. I bought 2 dogs from a lady who breeds. Her male and female were both 6lbs, so in theory, the pups would become 6lb dogs as adults. Nice breeding size right? Both the same size when I got them and one is Littlebit who is a whopping 2 1/2lbs and healthy as a horse and the other is Zoey 4 lbs who is very healthy too. So theory didnt work here in sizing. I personally have never had any problems with my pups that have been on the smaller side, but understand that some do as with bigger ones, it's just like humans, some are healthier than others. Its ok, I am not going to breed Littlebit or Zoey, and I love them whether they are 2lbs or 8lbs. I have a male and 2 females who put out some small ones that are very healthy, but I wouldnt call them 'teacups' to try to sell them. I do think that some people who are looking for dogs loosely refer to that term because that is how they know how to let someone know they are looking for one that will be smaller. But a breeder who advertises 'tinies or teacups' is just wrong! Breeders can only tell a person that this is how big the pups from their past litters have gotten to be as adults, if the person looking is worried about sizing.
