do the moose ever dent any cars? I hit a deer once in upstate NY (was on the way home from Vt.) and wow, it ruined the whole front of the car and busted the radiator as well .... poor Bambi! Poor me ...

Moose vs. cars is a big concern and scares me more than running into them on foot. This description may be a little graphic, so the squeamish might want to stop reading now, but when a car hits a moose it takes out only the legs. The entire 1,000-1,500 body goes directly through the windshield. When that happens, the least of your worries is whether your car has been dented.
