I would be too afraid to chance it Denise. She may not be able to tell the difference.
Our Penny (Golden Retriever) has gone 3 days without eating when the boys go to scout camp. She loves us all, but loves hubby the most. When I asked my Vet about it, he said when she gets hungry she'll eat.... and sure enough (they left on a Friday night) she was eating by Tuesday morning and then ate every day after.
