I'm sure your husband is a great guy but I vote NOPE - the tree will sit.
What you could do is put a note on the top instead of the STAR.... and simply say - TAKE ME DOWN AND PUT ME AWAY -THANK YOU SIR.
or...you could say...IF you take me down you'll get a BIG Surprise
