Oh my goodness Laura! You are planning to keep 4 puppies! I have to chuckle at that. I know the temptation, THAT IS FOR SURE!!! My first litter I was TERRIBLE about selling. I named every one of them (and still do according to personality) and cried (felt like a total goofball!) when the people were STILL HERE knowing they were taking one of my babies! However......you can't imagine them leaving you when they are born...nor when they are 2 weeks old...definetly not at 4 weeks old...by 5 weeks they all have personalities and you have little nicknames for them...6 weeks you know somehow you have to find a way to keep them all....but then they turn 7 weeks old. I think it is God's way of helping you to let them go...they start fighting with each other and demanding a LOT of individual attention. More than you can possibly put out in a day consisting of only 24 hours. Lets see how it goes for you and let me know if my week by week analysis resembles any realism in your case too. |
