Something tells me that when they say "A credit towards the puppy of your choice" they mean from "THEIR" pet store. I'm not sure about how the law works in NC but I do know that in New Jersey they have what they call a Lemon Law with regards to a dog bought at a pet store etc. and it reads that the "Pet Store" has to pay for ALL vet bills up to the purchase price of the dog. Meaning you could keep Lacey and still get your $$ back. I know that it's a big nut to chew keeping a pup so sick, but what about atleast bringing her to a Yorkie Rescue rather then back to the pet store. Not trying to make you feel guilty but the pups sold in pet stores are puppymill dogs and the store probably paid next to nothing for her, meaning she isn't worth the money to them to try and get better and they'll just dispose of her. The poor thing has gone through so much and it would be a sin for her to indure more. Again, not trying to make you feel guilty but please think about it before you bring her back there. Call your better business beaur and see what the NC state law is regarding a sick dog bought from a Pet Store. Maybe both you and Lacey can win on this one. Best of luck to both of you. Elaine |
