I am so sorry about poor little Lacey. It's a shame that she has been through so much in her short little life. I am so happy that she has you and your wife to care for her because where she came from was no where for a sweet little yorkie to be. Personally, I would never buy a puppy from a pet shop. I went to the mall the other day and walked by the pet store and all the little puppies looked so sad and not very healthy. The pet store should give you your money back . . . but what about poor little Lacey? You don't plan on giving her back to them . . . do you? Lacey will never have a good life if that happens.
Here is a thought. I live in Minnesota and we have what is called a "Lemon Law" which applies to vehicles and pets. If a pet is sold to you that turns out to have health defects . . . the seller is required to give you back a full refund and you are not entitled to give them back the animal. It happened to a friend of mine once with a persian cat. We knew if she gave it back to the breeder . . . it would only be killed. So she got her money back . . . spent a lot of money on vet bills . . . and two years later that persian cat is absolutely beautiful.
Please find it in your heart to care for baby Lacey as long as you can. Hopefully she will make it through these horrible health problems . . . and if these problems are more than little Lacey's fragile body can handle . . . she will be very lucky to have found you and your wife to give her so much more love than she would have ever got in a pet store.
Good luck to you all and I will continue to pray that Little Lacey will heal from this. Willow sends lots of hugs and kisses for baby Lacey too. |
