Oh Luna doesn't mind her crate... it's just getting her to go in voluntarily or on command is an issue. See it's kinda a long story, about her sleep arrangement/crate, but I will give it a shot for those who want to hear...lol

When we first got Luna we had her in the bathrrom shower area. In that area she had her crate with a towel and that puppy w/ the heartbeat. When we weren't playing that is where she would sleep, obviously when she was smaller she would sleep a lot more! After a few days we got her a play pen, just like the babies play pens. We kept her there only during the day with her towel, toys, food, etc. Then at night we would put her back in the shower area to sleep.

But today I decided to start her in her crate, completely, because she started to jump a lot in her play pen and we're afraid she may jump out. So I took out her play pen and have been putting her in her crate since this afternoon. I have already seen her sleeping in there at least 3 times today so I know she really doesn't mind. I also have not heard her crying or whining too much so I know that that is because she was accustomed to sleeping there in the shower area, but with the gate OPEN. Now I crate her completely, gate SHUT CLOSED!

What I don't know what to do now is punishment. I use to stick her in her play pen to punish her, never in her crate. I'm scared that I might reverse how she feels about her crate now that I shut the door on her.
