Tv Your TV can be fixed by a repairman or anyone familiar with electronics that has the right tool (a CRT Degausser), but some will charge a bit for the procedure. It is called Degaussing and basically it is demagnetizing the TV. It shouldn't cost more than about $20 - 25 to get it done, but some repair places around my area charge close to $100, so depending on what they want to charge you, it may depend on the size of the TV whether you want to fix it or get it replaced. I would call the TV repair shops, especially the smaller, mom and pop shops nearby and ask what they charge for Degaussing and decide then whether it is cost effective. I was lucky to find a man in the yellow pages who fixed electronics out of his home and he degaussed one of my TVs for only $20. Hopefully you will find someone who can do the same.
