Oh my, I was just sick reading all this, I send lots of positive energy to Willow for a quick recovery!

We had a window guy in for an estimate. He picked up (and then dropped) Lucy. He is used to big dogs, and cats- especially cats. Which you can pretty much drop. Thankfully, she was ok, but quite stunned. I was shocked. I had never seen anyone just drop a dog. Yes, she is squirmy... but...

Then, My neighbor's son (6) kept picking up the dogs and holding them in a way that looked unstable, and I asked him not to, asked him to sit down if he was to hold the dogs. He didn't drop them, but continued to walk & carry them. I finally shouted, how would you like it if I dropped you out of a 2nd floor window? Because that's how high that is for a little dog!

And then... the kid's mom got all miffed with me! She said he takes things so literally at his age, and now she was going to have to explain to him, that I was not literally going to drop him out of a window!

New rule in my house: Visitors don't pick up my dogs. Period.
