Seeing I used to be from Minnesota and also experienced those sort
of storms I would say it was a power surge also. I learned the hard
way one year when I lost basically every electical appliance I owned
including my computer, but thankfully my insurance covered it so
you may want to check that option out if your deductable isn't higher
than it's value? I am glad that your baby wasn't affected by the storms!
I have a daughter up there in Fargo so I hope that things didn't get
too wild up there?
