The only topical I've ever used that worked was Frontline. I think it depends on the dog and the area of the country you're in. As for the house, if there's any way you can keep the dogs up off the carpet for a few days, go to the hardware store and buy a big jug of Boric Acid (it's in most flea preparations). Sprinkle it heavily on the carpet and let it sit for a few days. Vacuum and IMMEDIATELY throw away the vacuum bag. Some people forget that fleas can live and breed in the vacuum bags. |
