I'm so glad you and you future SIL talked. It sounds like your future MIL has some real issues. Some people like to control everything and everyone because they don't feel like they have any control of themselves. I wouldn't give up on her though, she was able to produce a wonderful son and I wouldn't let her ever forget how grateful I was for that. It's not easy producing great sons. May I say it sounds like your mother did a great job producing a wonderful daughter. Congratulations on your engagement and a Happy New Year to you!
