HOW Do you do the low Carb diet ??? I've never tried it before....I still have nutrisystems food left that I saved for after the holidays but man - I lose soooooooo slow it isn't funny. I really was rigid for 3 almost FOUR months.... and only lost 15. Anyone else would have lost double that.
Hi Villette...I'm doing Atkin's and it's really not all that hard. You get to have real butter, sour cream, cheese, eggs, meat, deserts and a lot of things people don't realize. The first 2 weeks are strict but it really helps get you in the swing of things. I've looked into South Beach but it seems more expensive than Atkin's. You can pick up a book just about anywhere. Basically, I have eggs of some kind for breakfast like an omelet (I love broccoli and cheese omelets!) and maybe some sliced tomatoes...for lunch I have a salad with tuna or chicken salad, cheese and a few other things on top...for dinner I have meat and a veggie. I love to cook so the food prep isn't a big thing for me. Tonight I'm having grilled salmon with oven roasted veggies, tomatoes and a desert later...see, not so bad. Mainly you cut out all white flour, bread, nuts, fruit, pasta and things like that but it's not as hard as it sounds. Oh, and I drink iced tea or coffee with Splenda, Diet Rite pop or water. I like Atkin's because you can buy 'normal' groceries and it isn't a huge change in your kitchen or routine...you just buy different things instead of potatoes, breads and pasta!
