I carry a fly swatter (instead of rolled newspaper) when we go in the yard unleashed. I tapped him with it once last year for sprinting and he ran under the bed. Now when he sees it, he's the perfect angel.  I have not had to use it since, but I swat the floor and the wall with it every now and then just to let him know I have it. Glad you caught her! |
I did exactly that, swatted her as I scooped her up. It didn't hurt her. I wasn't hitting her hard at all, it was the action of being swatted I wanted her to get. That she did something wrong and it's not acceptable. She is one year old today.
