I'm so glad you finally caught her and you are both safe, and hopefully have caught your breath by now! How old is your baby? I had problems with Maddie when she was a puppy and since she's older, she doesn't take off anymore and knows the "Stay" command...except that doesn't work if she's after a squirrel or rabbit. I remember once when Maddie got away and I was chasing her through yards and she started thinking it was a game, because when I'd get anywhere near her, she'd bolt. When I finally got ahold of her, I wanted to beat her, but I didn't. Then it was the long walk home and I was also out of breath. These little stinkers sure are fast!!! |
