I really like Midwest's fold & carry crates... It's so easy to just collapse it flat and take it where we need to go.
Once our dogs are trained (or at least don't potty in the crate anymore) they graduate from the smaller one to a one of the larger models where they have room for their bed, a couple safe toys and food/water with floor space to spare. It really works out well for us.

Good luck. I hope the blanket trick works for you.... Try not to mangle the box too badly and keep your receipt so you can return the crate if you need to!
