Yes, the dog is only as good as the ethics of each breeder in the lines (no matter what pedigree it has) and not all champions are the best, but at least if they are champions you have had many people go over that dog to evaluate it. In my opinion worth its weight in gold and makes my research a little easier and my decision a little easier to bred or not.
