Its been almost 4 weeks, and she's grown so much i'm starting to wonder if it's normal.
THe mom and father are 5 and 7 lbs.. she's now just about 12 weeks, and she's over 5lbs. She eats like her 3 meals a day and gets a treat for pottying outside, aside from that she's gets nothing else, no table food or anything and i'm just wondering if she's already 5 lbs, what the heck is going on here.
shes doubled in all dimensiosn in 4 weeks, is this possible for a yorkie?

I am certainly not an expert - in fact a new yorkie owner.... but from what I understand size can not really be determined at all. Since there is really no such thing as a mini or toy yorkie - most times sized is "quessed" based on the size of the parents and the parents line. I have been told that you can expect for your yorkie to be double the size they are at 6mo. My Daisy was 4mo old on Christmas as is 1.13lbs... and by her rate of growth... we expect for her to be about 2+ at 6mo.... making her around 4lbs full grown. Which if you go back to her parents (mom is 4lbs, dad is 2 1/2 lbs) that would be close.
It does sound like yours is growing really really fast... what does the vet say... is that normal growth and size?
