You are a pretty woman. And you can wear your hair any way you want to, it's just learning how to manipulate it. With that cut (Meg Ryan), you could just blow dry it with a big round brush and that's it. Put a little wax or something in there to break it up and give it some texture.

And as for little Miss Hairdresser......for every idea that she shoots down, she should have another one to suggest for you instead. Honesty doesn't always have to mean negative feedback.
You are not ugly!!! I knew it was time to get my hair cut because I was feeling really haggy and weighed down by my hair...This Meg Ryan cut looks great for you!!!!
I have my hair kind of like this... I blow dry the bangs only... and put stuff in to help it hold better...no blow dry or brushing required!!! My hair is kind of a wiry wavey mess.... I go for the wind blown look!!! I am older (46) and this is when my hair was newly cut so i was still trying to figure it out...but here I am with my hair cut. Go to some one who is good...I would ask for the shop owner... play your eyes up with eye liner and mascara... takes all of 3 min...face powder if you want to even your skin! these are fast easy ways to get the most of your looks without taking more then a few min... You are very pretty... but you are worth a new hair cut and a little make over...we all need it frm time to time...Let us see pics when you are done!!!!
