Poor little guy! I hope you find the earrings, but I am worried about him. I would definitely take him for xrays - it wouldn't hurt - and you can make sure that they are not doing harm, if they are still inside him.... and then that might put your mind at ease that they are not there, so you can keep looking around your house.
