I had a similar scare when Abbie was a pup. I had my first and only (thank GOD!) bout of vertigo and was in bed. Well, Abbie was just going ballistic because she couldn't find me. Finally, I told hubby; "Good grief, just bring her here!" She hadn't been on the bed very long, when my daughter's care provider came in, and Abbie flew off the bed before I could even sit up! Our bed is pretty tall, too, so we naturally envisioned broken leg, concusion(sp?) or worse! She did yelp and run about a bit, but didn't seem injured. We observed her and didn't let her sleep for several hours. She's fine!
I think it made a lasting impression, though; because now she won't jump off the bed on her own. We've always tried to be aware of when she needs down, and go help her. Now, she whimpers when she's ready, and waits for us to help.
I'm so glad your baby's fine!
