Maya my 10 year old pom was just diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and is on 2 pills a day for the rest of her life. They did a lot of tests before confirming the diagnosis. Maya was having frequent skin infections, tired all the time, hair loss and drinking a lot more water. The one thing that was strange was Maya was losing weight which usually doesn't happen with hypothyroid and one of her tests was low instead of high which the vet said was a little unusual.
